![]() From being a young girl I had a fear of dogs, which my father could not understand as he was dog mad. When I was 11 years old my dad brought me Sandy a Corgi dog. I was terrified of him! But after about 6 weeks I started to talk and slowly make friends with him and within no time we had become great friends. Little did I know that this would change my life. We became over the wonderful years that followed inseparable. I married in 1976 to my husband Paul, and shortly after that we sadly lost Sandy. In 1978 my new love was a Golden Retriever called Andy named by Paul after Andy Gray the Aston Villa footballer. Sometime later I decided to purchase a Golden Retriever bitch from the well known kennel 'Jamescroft'. I was encouraged to show her and the show bug bit me. ![]() Jamescroft Rosina With Oramiss 'Rosie'
This was the start of ORAMISS. The name Oramiss is a combination of letters taken from my children's name, Simon & Sarah. ![]() 'Our Goldie's'
In 2003, my daughter Sarah decided she would like a Cocker Spaniel after meeting and falling in love with one at our local ringcraft. This introduced us to Sophie a beautiful Blue Roan. She was a wonderful bitch that loved showing and liked to let everyone know she was about. She gained her Stud Book Number which is a life time qualification for Crufts. She was also an excellent brood bitch. Sophie is now a retired lady and has put her paws up. We are still enjoying showing our Cockers and I am very proud to say all our Show dogs are qualified for Crufts and have gained their Stud Book Numbers. |
